Torrejón de Ardoz has once again announced the start of its annual charity campaign, aimed at supporting families facing financial difficulties. This year, the program will cover the 2025–2026 Christmas period and will give the city’s youngest residents the chance to receive long-awaited holiday gifts.
The organizers have set the application period for November 14 to 21, 2025. To apply, families must visit the Centro de Servicios Sociales in person at avenida Virgen de Loreto, 2. Applications are accepted on weekdays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. Parents will need to provide documents to prove their eligibility for aid: a decision granting the Ingreso Mínimo Vital or Renta Mínima de Inserción, and the family book. In cases of joint custody, a court order or custody agreement must also be presented.
This year, the program is open to children aged 2 to 9 who are registered as residents of Torrejón before January 1, 2025, and actually live in the city. Importantly, only one parent may submit an application if the child is under joint custody. The amount of aid ranges from €15 to €45 per child, depending on the number of approved applications and the available budget.
Application review process and gift distribution deadlines
After the document submission ends on November 21, a preliminary list of eligible and ineligible participants will be published on November 27. Objections can be submitted within five working days. The final list of families eligible for assistance will be announced on December 11. All gifts must be distributed by January 5, 2026. If a family does not claim their gift by this date, their right to receive it will be forfeited.
The total campaign budget for this season is €6,000, allocated from the city’s social support program for 2026. Thanks to this initiative, the local authorities aim to make the holidays truly joyful for all children, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
