Denia is a city in the north of Alicante province, in the Valencia region, located on the Mediterranean coast. The city is renowned for its historical heritage and cultural attractions, such as the Denia Castle, built in the 11th century and considered one of the city’s main historical landmarks. Denia also offers numerous beautiful beaches and coves, which are very popular with tourists. The city hosts various festivals and celebrations, notably the Moors and Christians festival, where groups in traditional costumes reenact historical events and participate in parades. Denia is also famous for its cuisine, featuring local olive oil, fish, seafood, and the famous Spanish tapas.
