Audi has enhanced its vehicles by integrating the Disney+ streaming service into its proprietary multimedia platform. Now, owners of select models can watch Disney movies, series, and cartoons directly on their car screens. The feature is available in 43 countries, including European markets, the US, and several Asian and Oceanian nations. Access requires an active Disney+ subscription, an internet connection, and a myAudi profile.
The system lets users stream content on the central display while the car is parked, or on the front passengerβs screen during travel. This unlocks Disneyβs extensive library, including Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel universes, as well as the companyβs iconic movies and animated classics. Supported models include the Audi A5, Q5, A6, A6 e-tron, Q6 e-tron, and other vehicles equipped with the latest MMI version and Audi Application Store compatibility.
Technology and entertainment: a new level of comfort
The Disney+ integration is part of Audiβs strategy to develop digital services for drivers and passengers. The company is focusing on expanding in-car features, making journeys not only more convenient but also more engaging. Bringing streaming platforms to standard vehicle systems is one of the automotive industryβs biggest recent trendsβand Audi is actively taking part in this race.
Users note that the ability to watch favorite movies and series on the go is especially appreciated during long trips and waiting times. At the same time, safety remains a priority: viewing on the central screen is only possible when the car is stopped, while in motion, video is available exclusively to the passenger.
On Screen: Audi Featured in the Film TRON: Ares
Alongside the launch of Disney+ in its cars, Audi has strengthened its presence in the film industry. In the latest installment of the iconic TRON franchiseβTRON: Ares, which premiered in Octoberβtwo Audi cars take center stage. One is the electric Audi Q8 e-tron, driven by Hasan Minhajβs character, and the other is a model designed after the legendary Audi Quattro Rallye, created specifically for the shoot.
Greta Lee and Jared Leto star in the film. Audi’s presence in the movie highlights the brandβs ambition to align itself with cutting-edge technology and futuristic narratives. This kind of integration isnβt new for Audi: the brand has previously appeared in Hollywood blockbusters, including I, Robot, which showcased the Audi RSQ concept that foreshadowed the production R8.
International Collaboration and Future Prospects
The partnership between Audi and Disney is an example of how automakers and media companies join forces to create new user experiences. Integrating streaming services into vehicles is becoming standard in the premium segment, and collaborating with major film studios allows brands to connect more closely with audiences and shape a modern image.
Experts note that such projects not only increase customer loyalty but also boost interest in new technologies. In the coming years, we can expect a wider range of supported services and new features related to entertainment and digital services in cars.
