Grandson of Monaco Princess Stefano Casiraghi Charms the Public with His Appeal

New Grimaldi Dynasty Star: Eight-Year-Old Heir Steals the Spotlight in Monte Carlo

The young member of the princely family found himself in the spotlight. His spontaneity captivated everyone present. The boy behaved with remarkable ease. Society columns are abuzz with talk of the new star.

Members of the Grimaldi dynasty are accustomed to camera flashes from birth, so their confidence in front of the lens is unsurprising. However, the recent public appearance of Stefano Casiraghi, the charming son of Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo, truly made headlines. At a sports event honoring his father, the eight-year-old boy showed remarkable poise and spontaneity, instantly winning over everyone present. His parents, known for their determination to protect their children’s privacy, made an exception this time and allowed their son to share in his father’s triumph.

Pierre Casiraghi and his wife Beatrice take the upbringing of their heirs very seriously and closely monitor their presence in the media. But this occasion was special. For several years, Pierre has been deeply involved in sailing, following in the footsteps of his father, Stefano Casiraghi, whose life was tragically cut short during a powerboat race in the Monte Carlo bay on October 3, 1990. That news shocked the world, leaving his widow, Princess Caroline, with three young children and overwhelming grief.

Today, Pierre proves that he has inherited not only his father’s name, but also his talent for maritime competition. His skill and teamwork have led to impressive sporting achievements. A historic moment came with the arrival in Cherbourg of the Monaco Yacht Club crews, led by the grandson of Rainier III and Grace Kelly. An undisputed victory in the prestigious Rolex Fastnet regatta allowed the Monegasque team to win the Admiral’s Cup. This success propelled Pierre Casiraghi and his dedicated crew to the top of a sporting discipline that demands tremendous endurance and self-sacrifice.

The awards ceremony took place at the Yacht Club de Monaco, presided over by Prince Albert II. The event was held shortly before his visit to Madrid for the final stage of the ‘Vuelta’ cycling race. Incidentally, the monarch’s trip to Spain faced unexpected complications: due to large-scale protests that disrupted the competition’s finale, the prince had to be evacuated for safety reasons. But in Monte Carlo, everything went smoothly. Pierre took the opportunity to introduce his teammates to his uncle, with whom he enjoys an excellent relationship. Another key figure at the event was Peter Harrison, CEO of Richard Mille Europe, who shared this thrilling maritime adventure with Casiraghi.

Still, the undisputed star of the evening was young Stefano. The boy beamed with pride for his father’s achievement. He happily posed for photographers next to his dad, crew members, and of course, the massive gold trophy that seemed almost as big as he was. His genuine joy and childlike spontaneity outshone the shimmer of the awards and the official pomp of the event.

Commenting on his sporting hobbies and the possibility of his son following in his footsteps, Pierre Casiraghi said in a podcast that sailing runs “in the family.” Pierre and Beatrice have two sons: the eldest, Stefano, named after his grandfather, was born on February 28, 2017, and the younger, Francesco, was born on May 21, 2018. Pierre’s wife, the daughter of Italian aristocrat Carlo Ferdinando Borromeo, is now expecting their third child, whose gender has not yet been revealed.
