The nearly twenty-year history of the musical duo Andy y Lucas did not conclude with a graceful finale, but instead unraveled into a series of scandalous rumors and mutual insinuations. Their farewell tour, titled “Our Last Chords,” ended on October 10 at Madrid’s Palacio de Vistalegre, but instead of nostalgia, an air of tension lingered. Just nine days after the final performance, Andy Morales announced the start of his solo career, further fueling speculation about a serious rift with his former partner, Lucas González.
Talk of a physical altercation between the artists began several months ago. At that time, information surfaced claiming that Andy had allegedly sustained injuries after a dressing room argument. The musicians were quick to deny these rumors, calling them a misunderstanding. However, a recent episode of the television program “Fiesta” brought the story back into the spotlight, presenting new testimonies and even photographs of the alleged injuries. Journalists aired footage which, they claimed, proved that an act of aggression had taken place.
Andy Morales responded to the televised story immediately. During the broadcast of another program, “¡Vaya fama!”, where the conflict was being discussed, the singer posted a short message on his Instagram. In it, he categorically denied all accusations against his former colleague, stating that the information was false and that Lucas had never touched him. This direct and concise post was apparently meant to put an end to all rumors. However, to everyone’s surprise, the post was deleted just a few minutes later, sparking a new wave of questions and doubts among both fans and the press.
Lucas González, for his part, remains publicly silent. According to the same program, he refused to make any comments. Meanwhile, people close to him have hinted that he plans to ‘defend himself where appropriate,’ which many have interpreted as preparation for legal proceedings. This air of mystery only deepens an already complicated situation.
The central figure in the latest turn of the scandal is reporter Arabella Otero. On air at “Fiesta,” she spoke about her three-hour conversation with Andy Morales. According to her, the artist not only confirmed the fight, but also showed her pictures of his injured leg. Otero clarified that the incident took place in the dressing room before one of the concerts, and after the altercation, Andy had to seek medical help at a hospital in Mérida. Additionally, the journalist relayed the singer’s concerns about his ex-partner’s behavior and mentioned unresolved financial issues related to the duo’s last concert.
