For her, the comfortable temperature in the studio is as close as possible to the outside temperature. As a result, during the summer months, the Antena 3 set often turns into something resembling the tropics, forcing participants to take off their jackets and look for relief from the heat. It’s no surprise that when the host goes on vacation, some staff see it as a small celebration—finally, they can turn on the coveted machine and breathe a sigh of relief.
However, the unthinkable happened the other day. The ironclad rule was broken by its very creator. During a recent episode, right after a segment with Elsa Pataky, Ónega changed locations and addressed the live audience. She asked how they were feeling and, without waiting for an answer, smiled and remarked that they had nothing to complain about that day because the air conditioner was running in the studio. This comment sparked mild surprise and amusement among those present, who were well aware of her usual stance.
The reason for such a sudden change of mind turned out to be simple and even amusing. The presenter admitted that she had a serious ‘problem.’ After putting on a striking blue shirt, she suddenly realized—with horror—that she risked repeating the fate of the well-known football coach Camacho, who was famous for sweating profusely during matches. The prospect of appearing before the whole country with wet stains on her clothes made her strike a deal with her conscience and turn on the air conditioning, choosing to avoid a bigger embarrassment.
This candid moment sparked a wave of jokes from her co-hosts. Rubén Quiles quickly reassured Onega, telling her she looked great and had nothing to worry about. Journalist Olga Visa, laughing, suggested she should choose outfits in that color more often, hinting at the studio’s collective appreciation for the cooler temperature.
