Ford has announced a partnership with Electroverse, the electric vehicle charging service owned by Octopus Energy. Through this collaboration, Ford owners—both private and corporate—will be able to access an extensive network of public charging stations, with more than one million locations across Europe.
Starting in October 2025, Ford users will only need to download the Electroverse app and link it to their Ford account. After that, they will have access to a unified platform displaying all available charging stations. Connecting to more than 1,200 charging networks now requires just one card and the app, eliminating the need to register with multiple providers.
The app not only shows the location and status of charging points, but also provides transparent information about service costs. This helps users plan their trips by taking into account optimal routes and the best prices. The built-in route planner automatically selects the most convenient and cost-effective charging stops along the way.
The Electroverse interface is integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing users to access the same features both in and out of the car. Additionally, users can view and upload photos of charging stations, which is particularly useful when searching for locations in unfamiliar areas.
By linking their Ford and Octopus accounts, customers gain a range of additional benefits. Private owners receive three months of free access to Ionity Premium, as well as the option to pay for charging through their home electricity bill. Corporate clients can take advantage of free three-month access to the Octopus Fleet portal. This enables assigning charging cards to individual drivers, receiving discounts on the largest networks, and generating custom reports, including monthly reports and fleet management for vehicles of different brands.
Ford emphasizes that convenience, simplicity, and competitive charging terms are key requirements for today’s electric vehicle owners. Octopus Energy notes that the joint BlueOval x Octopus Electroverse network makes Ford electric vehicles even more attractive to drivers in Spain and across Europe. The new platform is expected to provide greater flexibility and confidence when choosing where and when to charge.
