Bertín Osborne Makes Shocking Decision About His Youngest Son

Scandal Escalates: Singer Refuses to See Child

Bertín Osborne has made a new decision. He will no longer have contact with his son. The reason is a recent public conflict. The singer will continue to provide financial support, but is cutting off personal ties.

A few days ago, it seemed that the protracted conflict between Bertín Osborne and Gabriela Guillén had finally come to an end. Both parties reached an agreement regarding financial support for their son, who was born in December 2023 and will soon celebrate his second birthday. This peaceful accord appeared to signal the conclusion of a highly public dispute that had raged since the child’s birth and inspired hope for a calmer future.

However, the truce was short-lived. The turning point came with an interview Gabriela gave to a television channel, in which she spoke about the difficulties in reaching an agreement with the Andalusian artist and claimed he had not provided any financial support for their child. These revelations apparently angered the singer and prompted him to completely reconsider his intentions.

Osborne’s response was swift and uncompromising. Although, following Guillén’s public appeal, he did ultimately sign the child support agreement and committed to paying a specific amount, her televised comments led him to radically change his stance. He made a firm decision: he would fulfill his financial obligations but refused to establish any father-son relationship. According to people close to him, his motto is: “If you treat me well, I’m very good; if not, I’m very bad.”

Thus, the situation has returned to square one. The artist and TV host, who initially stated he would not take on his parental responsibilities, is once again distancing himself from direct involvement in his sixth child’s life. It has come to light that in nearly two years, father and son have met only three times. Now, it seems even these rare meetings may come to an end, casting doubt on any future communication between them.

Alongside this family drama, Bertín Osborne’s difficult financial situation is also in the spotlight. He is going through a challenging period in both his career and business. His name still appears on the tax authority’s list of debtors, with liabilities exceeding eight hundred thousand euros. Reports indicate that the singer is taking active steps to save his estate and is seeking ways to stabilize his finances, but this will also require significant investment.

Incidentally, Norberto Juan Ortiz Osborne, better known as Bertín Osborne, is one of the most recognizable figures in Spanish show business. He was born in 1954 in Madrid into an aristocratic family. His career began in the late 1970s as a singer, and he released numerous successful albums in the romantic ballad and ranchero genres. He later became a popular TV presenter, known for his talk shows where he interviews celebrities in a relaxed setting. Osborne has six children from three different women.
