In September 2025, Aldi ramped up its operations in the Spanish market by opening four new stores at once. The new locations were launched in Mallorca, two Basque Country cities, and the nation’s capital. This move has strengthened the brand’s position in key regions and made its range of products more accessible to residents across different areas.
Each of the new stores occupies more than 1,000 square meters. The sales floors offer a wide selection of products, with most of the items produced under the company’s own brands. Additionally, a significant share of the assortment is manufactured in Spain, allowing Aldi to maintain an optimal balance of price and quality.
The opening of new outlets goes hand in hand with the creation of additional jobs. From September through December, the company plans to hire more than 300 people nationwide. This decision is linked to the network’s expansion and the need to uphold a high standard of customer service.
As part of its long-term strategy, Aldi intends to keep expanding its presence in the Spanish market. By the end of 2025, the company expects to open around 20 new stores, bringing the total number of locations across Spain to more than 480. This approach aims to ensure that as many families as possible can access quality products at affordable prices.
