
Armed Attack in Chiclana: Incident Details
In Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz), police have arrested five people suspected of involvement in the killing of a man during a brazen home invasion. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of August 8, when a group of armed individuals broke into a private residence on Camino de la Perdiz, in the Pinar de los Franceses neighborhood. Their target was a large stash of marijuana stored in the house.
During the attack, the assailants opened fire with several types of weapons. One of the shots proved fatal for the homeowner, who was inside with a young woman and two small children. The attackers then fled the scene, taking two large bags and stealing the victim’s car.
Operation ‘Aguileo’: Crime Group Exposed
The police operation codenamed ‘Aguileo’ uncovered the criminal organization’s structure. The gang operated according to a well-organized plan: one group collected information in Puerto Serrano, others monitored the area and verified data, while a third group carried out the actual raid.
During the investigation, police conducted 15 raids in various locations—ranging from Puerto Serrano to the cities of Sevilla, Guillena, Alcalá del Río, and Carmona. Authorities seized a loaded pistol, two long rifles, several knives, an axe, a sword, communication devices, burglary tools, bulletproof vests, and various electronics.
Marijuana Seizure and Investigation Progress
During the operation, police discovered and seized 1.7 kilograms of dried marijuana buds and 365 plants of this species. All detainees were taken to the Cádiz police department for necessary procedural actions. The case materials have been handed over to the Chiclana court, which is investigating the circumstances of the crime.
Various police units took part in the operation, including rapid response teams, special squads from Sevilla and Cádiz, as well as canine units. The investigation is ongoing, and it is possible that more suspects will be detained in the near future.
