Isotrol, a technology company based in Seville, has announced the beginning of a new chapter in its history. Following its complete acquisition by the French investment fund Tikehau Capital, the company has undergone significant management changes. Conrado Espi, known for his expertise in innovation and business transformation, has been appointed as the new CEO. His mission is to take the company to the next level and accelerate its international expansion.
The former CEO, Manuel Losada, will now focus on developing strategic partnerships and corporate alliances. He will oversee the integration of new business directions and seek out partners for further growth. This move aligns with Isotrol’s ambitious strategy for 2030, aimed at significant revenue growth and broadening its international presence.
Today, Isotrol manages over 3,500 renewable energy generation facilities and oversees more than 180 gigawatts of installed capacity across 45 countries. The company is actively strengthening its presence in the American market, having recently opened an office in Denver. In the coming years, it plans to nearly quadruple its revenue — from 27 million euros in 2023 to close to 100 million.
New faces and new challenges
Conrado Espi, a graduate of CEMFI and the London School of Economics, previously worked at Boston Consulting Group, Mutua Madrileña, and various mobility startups. His arrival is expected to strengthen the management team and accelerate the rollout of innovations. At the same time, Manuel Losada, who has experience with Telvent and Schneider Electric, will continue to shape the company’s strategy, focusing on finding new partners and developing key products such as Bluence.
With more than 400 employees, the company is currently undergoing a major transformation. The changes affect not only the management structure but also the business model, aiming to meet new market trends and the requirements of the parent company. Leadership believes that combining a technological and corporate approach will enable Isotrol to become a leader in the renewable energy management software sector.
A focus on integration and global competition
The leadership change is part of a strategy to integrate new business areas and increase competitiveness in global markets. Over four decades, Isotrol has grown from a small Seville-based startup into one of the industry’s international leaders. The company is now preparing for the next stage—scaling the business and consolidating its position in the rapidly evolving energy sector.
