Julio Iglesias’ Empire: How His Wife Manages a 630 Million Euro Fortune

The Only Artist on the Forbes List: Unveiling the Assets and Secrets of Julio Iglesias' Family

Julio Iglesias remains the only artist on Spain’s richest list. His 630 million euro fortune is managed by his wife. We reveal the secrets of his business empire.

Although at 82 Julio Iglesias has long retired from performing and now enjoys a well-deserved rest, splitting his time between Miami, the Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic, his name has once again made headlines. There are two main reasons: the candid memoirs of his ex-wife Isabel Preysler and his latest inclusion in the prestigious ranking of Spain’s wealthiest individuals.

In her book ‘My Real Story’, Preysler settles a few scores with the singer, focusing particularly on his role as a father to their son Enrique. She describes how Julio failed to support their son when he decided to follow in his footsteps into the music industry. According to Isabel, this attitude deeply hurt Enrique and became a constant source of sorrow and disappointment for her, especially since father and son had chosen the same profession.

Financially, however, the artist is doing much better. In 2025, he once again secured his place among the country’s richest fortunes. At the top of the list, as always, is Inditex founder Amancio Ortega with a net worth of €109.9 billion. He is followed at a considerable distance by his daughter Sandra Ortega (€10 billion) and Ferrovial president Rafael del Pino Calvo-Sotelo (€8 billion).

Julio Iglesias, often called “the singer who challenges the stock market,” ranks 81st with an impressive fortune of 630 million euros. Notably, he is the only representative from the world of show business and entertainment in this elite group. Neither Rosalía, Alejandro Sanz, nor any athletes managed to make it into the top 100. His wealth was built over decades of a successful career, during which more than three hundred million records were sold, coupled with keen business acumen. However, over the past year, his assets decreased by 120 million, and his position in the ranking dropped by twenty-two points compared to 2024. Yet even after not performing on stage for six years, he continues to earn substantial income from royalties and album sales, holding several Guinness World Records, including as the best-selling Latin American artist of all time.

A key role in managing this financial empire is played by his current wife and mother of his five youngest children, Dutch-born Miranda Rijnsburger. She officially oversees all of the singer’s assets and investments. Their portfolio is quite diverse: in addition to real estate, Iglesias has invested in cosmetics brands, vodka production, and winemaking.

Iglesias’s assets include not only a private jet but also several properties in Punta Cana and on Indian Creek Island in Florida, famously known as the “billionaires’ bunker.” To this list, you can add the “Las Cuatro Lunas” estate in Ojén, near Marbella, where his family spends their summer holidays each year. Most recently, last summer, he purchased another property—a mansion in the Galician town of Piñor, located near his father’s birthplace. The 1,340-square-meter estate features an artificial lake, gardens, a large swimming pool, and a garage for twenty cars.

A native of Madrid, Julio has always emphasized his connection to Galicia, a region he has visited many times and even dedicated his famous song “Un canto a Galicia” to.
