In 2026, Madrid is set to host one of the most anticipated Formula 1 races. Organizers have announced an additional ticket saleβon top of the 50,000 already sold, another 30,000 tickets will be released. These new tickets will go on sale during the Christmas holidays, which experts predict could trigger record demand among motorsport fans.
The event will take place at the new Madring circuit, which in its first year will accommodate up to 115,000 spectators. However, to avoid overloading the city’s transport system, the number of available seats in 2026 will be limited to 80,000. With eight months still to go before the race, the majority of tickets may already be sold out, highlighting the unprecedented interest in the event.
Organizers emphasize that hosting a Formula 1 stage in Madrid is not just a sporting event, but also a powerful image project for the city and the entire country. According to them, after the Olympic Games, the F1 Grand Prix is considered the second most important sporting event for Spain. The authorities and business sector are actively supporting the project: this week, new partnership agreements were signed with major companies and a football club.
Construction of the circuit in the Valdebebas area is proceeding on schedule. Particular attention is being paid to compliance with all regulations concerning noise levels and environmental impact. Event organizersβ representatives regularly meet with residents of nearby neighborhoods to keep them informed about progress and minimize possible inconveniences. Despite some complaints, most residents expect that hosting the race will bring new opportunities and economic growth to the area.
Transport accessibility remains a top priority. Additional metro, bus, and commuter train routes will be arranged for spectators. Authorities promise that all traffic management measures will be coordinated with city services to prevent congestion on race day. There are also plans to further expand the circuitβs infrastructure in the future, allowing it to welcome more guests and host world-class events.
