One of the most anticipated festivals of the year — San Diego Comic-Con Málaga — has wrapped up in Málaga. The final day of the event was particularly vibrant: the venue was packed, and the atmosphere felt like a true celebration for pop culture fans. The highlight was the arrival of Arnold Schwarzenegger, which stirred up strong emotions among attendees and became the main attraction of the program.
Once again, the city became the center of attention thanks to the large influx of visitors. Preliminary estimates suggest the economic impact of the festival reached 50 million euros, setting a new record for Málaga. Local businesses and hotels reported unprecedented demand for their services during these days, while the city streets filled with tourists and fans from across the country.
However, an event of this scale also revealed some weaknesses. Many attendees complained about long queues at the entrance and difficulties accessing the main areas of the festival. Organizers acknowledge that logistics need improvement and are already discussing possible changes for future editions of Comic-Con in Málaga. City officials also expressed satisfaction with the results achieved but emphasized that improving infrastructure will be a priority for next year.
Despite some shortcomings, the festival left a wealth of positive impressions. Once again, Málaga proved its ability to host world-class events and attract the attention of both Spanish and international audiences. New challenges and plans for the city’s cultural development lie ahead, while participants and guests are already eagerly anticipating the next Comic-Con.
