Scandal Erupts in Spanish Senate: Former LogiRail Employee Accuses Management of Corruption

Shocking Revelations: Ex-LogiRail Employee Exposes High-Level Corruption Scheme

A former LogiRail employee told the Senate that a former transport minister revealed Pedro Sánchez was aware of corruption schemes. She presented correspondence and detailed threats and pressure. The revelations from the investigation are sparking intense reaction.

A new chapter has unfolded in the Spanish Senate in the high-profile investigation into corruption within government agencies. Claudia Montes, a former employee of LogiRail, has come forward with revelations that could change the course of the case. According to her, former Minister of Transport José Luis Ábalos personally told her that Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez was aware of all the details of the corruption schemes.

Montes provided the Koldo case investigation committee with messenger correspondence with Ábalos that took place after her public statements. In these messages, the former minister did not deny the prime minister’s involvement, instead expressing his dissatisfaction with how he was portrayed on air. Montes also said that Ábalos arranged legal support for her and gave her specific instructions on how to testify before the Supreme Court.

The scandal continues to develop with new details: Montes claims she faced pressure and threats from government officials. According to her, Ábalos warned her about possible consequences if she kept sharing information. She also accused Koldo García of harassment and receiving suspicious money transfers, which she says were meant to cover her rent but were presented as personal help from Ábalos.

Internal conflicts and new accusations

During the hearings, Montes drew attention to the lack of support from fellow party members, emphasizing that she had expected more understanding from her colleagues. She also spoke about a letter she sent to the President of Asturias, Adrián Barbón, in which she warned about possible violations in the allocation of government contracts. Among those mentioned, she named the head of Renfe, Óscar Gómez Barbero, and the LogiRail manager in Asturias, Enrique Martínez, whom she suspects of receiving illegal payments.

Montes noted that her employment at LogiRail became possible after a recommendation from Ábalos, but insists that she passed the selection process on her own and found the position online. Nonetheless, the Supreme Court judge has already classified her hiring as a result of abuse of office and undue influence from the former minister.

Reaction and consequences

The Senate investigation into the Koldo case is gaining increasing public attention. Montes’ new statements add fuel to the fire, raising questions about the extent of corruption and the involvement of top officials. She claims to have repeatedly faced threats because of possessing compromising information, and does not rule out further revelations.

The scandal surrounding LogiRail and its associates continues to unfold, with the public and political circles awaiting new details. Issues of transparency, accountability, and potential consequences for the current government remain in the spotlight.
