A million euros for one lucky winner
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, luck smiled on a resident of the small municipality of Boiro in the province of A Coruña. Thanks to the special ‘El Millón’ draw, held as part of the pan-European Euromillones lottery, one participant won a prize of exactly 1,000,000 euros. The winning ticket was purchased at lottery administration No. 2, located on Doctor Santos Mieites Street.
This draw was also generous to other players. Two second-category tickets, where five main numbers and one ‘star’ matched, were registered in Gernika (Biscay) and in Pamplona (Navarra). Their owners will also receive significant cash prizes, although not as large as the main Spanish jackpot.
Draw results and the growing jackpot
At the same time, the Euromillones grand prize, which requires matching all five numbers and both ‘stars’, went unclaimed this time. The absence of first-category winners means the jackpot will continue to roll over. In the next draw, to be held on Friday, an impressive amount will be at stake—potentially reaching 150 million euros.
The winning combination that evening consisted of the main numbers 02, 04, 15, 21, 48, and the ‘stars’ 06 and 12. The code that brought a million euros in the ‘El Millón’ draw was VPV65531. Participants are always advised to check their tickets carefully so as not to miss their chance to win.
How the Euromillones lottery works
Euromillones is one of the most popular lotteries in Europe, bringing together nine countries, including Spain, France, and the United Kingdom. Draws are held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. To play, participants select five numbers from 1 to 50 and two ‘stars’ from 1 to 12. The lottery offers a total of 13 prize categories.
A special feature for Spanish players is the additional ‘El Millón’ draw. Every bet placed in Spain is automatically assigned a unique code. With each draw, one of these codes is guaranteed to win one million euros. This prize is independent of the main number combination, significantly increasing Spanish players’ chances of a major win.
