Spain has launched a large-scale operation to track down the country’s ten most wanted criminals. The National Police have called on residents for help: they have published new photographs and even AI-generated images that show how the fugitives might have changed their appearance. All of these individuals are suspects or already convicted of serious crimes, ranging from murder and sexual assault to drug trafficking and human exploitation.
Authorities emphasize that anyone with even the slightest information about the whereabouts of these individuals can report it anonymously via a dedicated email address. Over the past year, police have arrested hundreds of fugitives, but these ten remain out of reach and pose a particular threat to society.
Who is hiding from the police: details about the fugitives
The wanted list includes suspects in cases that have shocked various regions of the country. Among them is A Coruña native Daniel Vázquez Patiño, accused of sexual crimes against a young girl. Also on the run is Jesús Manuel Heredia Heredia, known as “El Pantoja,” one of Spain’s most influential drug traffickers, linked to the “Los Pantoja” clan and operating in the Strait of Gibraltar area.
Police are also focusing on Juan Herrera Guerrero from Puente Genil (Córdoba), who is suspected of sexually assaulting minors. Another fugitive is Juan Miguel García Santos from Vilanova de Arousa (Pontevedra), believed to be the mastermind behind a major scheme smuggling cocaine from Ecuador disguised as fruit shipments.
Crimes That Shocked the Nation
Among those wanted is Manuel Rodríguez López from Barcelona, linked to multiple armed robberies, illegal arms possession, and repeated violations of court orders. The list also includes a former teacher from Ourense, Martiño Ramos Soto, convicted of brutal sexual crimes against his student.
Particular attention is given to José María Pavón Pereira from Huelva, sentenced to 41 years in prison for a double murder in Granada. The fugitives also include foreign nationals: Ionut Ramon Raducan, originally from Tecuci, Romania, convicted of human trafficking and forcing his own relatives into prostitution in Madrid’s industrial area.
Drug Trafficking, Murder, and Human Trafficking
Police are also focused on Julio Herrera Nieto from Salamanca, suspected of organizing heroin and cocaine shipments to the Plasencia region. His activities involve money laundering and possession of weapons. Another fugitive is Sergio Jesús Mora Carrasco, known as “Eyo,” a native of Huelva, considered one of Europe’s top drug traffickers. He specializes in transporting hashish by sea using high-speed boats.
Police note that all these individuals may change their appearance, use forged documents, and hide in various regions of the country or abroad. Advanced technologies are being used to apprehend them, along with support from international law enforcement agencies.
Public support is the key to success
Authorities emphasize that any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, can play a decisive role in capturing these dangerous criminals. A special communication channel has been set up to guarantee complete anonymity for informants. Over the past year, police have already made significant progress, arresting hundreds of fugitives, but these ten individuals continue to evade justice.
Publishing photographs and detailed descriptions is part of the strategy to involve society in the fight against crime. Authorities hope that by working together, they will be able to make the country’s streets safer and restore people’s sense of security.
