Three Lucky Winners in Spain Share Major La Primitiva Lottery Prize

Three Spaniards Hit the Jackpot: Each Wins Over €66,000 in La Primitiva Lottery

New winners have emerged in Spain. Three lottery participants are now richer. Find out which cities sold the winning tickets.

The popular Spanish lottery La Primitiva held its draw on Thursday, November 20, 2025, once again giving thousands of participants hope for a big win. Although the main jackpot went unclaimed this time, fortune smiled generously on three players who matched five main numbers plus the additional number (category 5+C). Each of them took home a substantial prize of €66,021.76.

Winners from Three Regions

This time, luck was spread across a wide geography. One of the winning tickets was purchased in the small municipality of Barco de Valdeorras, located in the province of Ourense (Galicia autonomous community). The lucky ticket was sold at lottery administration No. 1 on Lauro Olmo Street, 2. This town, home to about 13,000 people, can now boast its own winner.

The other two prizes found their winners in different parts of the country. One ticket was registered in Soria, the capital of the province of the same name in Castilla y León. The lucky point of sale is located at Marqués de Serralbo, b/n. The third winner placed their bet in the town of O Porriño (province of Pontevedra, Galicia), at the lottery sales point on Ramon Gonzalez Street, 7. Thus, two out of three major prizes went to Galicia residents.

Winning Combination and Draw Results

During the draw, the following balls were drawn from the machine, deciding the fate of the prizes on this November evening:

Main numbers of the winning combination: 7, 31, 3, 49, 2, 41.

Additional number (Complementario): 22.

Reintegro number: 0.

In addition, a winner was also determined in the associated El Joker game. The jackpot of one million euros went to the ticket holder with number 4767802.

From royal decree to the present day

La Primitiva is rightfully considered one of the oldest lotteries in the world—it began in Spain in the 18th century. The first draw was held on December 10, 1763, during the reign of King Carlos III. The lottery was the idea of Marqués de Esquilache, who served as Minister of Finance. His goal was to fill the state treasury without introducing new taxes that could cause public discontent. The lottery became an elegant solution to the financial problem.

Throughout its long history, the lottery underwent many changes and was repeatedly suspended. In its modern form—familiar to millions of Spaniards—it was revived in 1985. Since then, it has become a mainstay in the country and one of the most significant and anticipated events in Spain’s world of gaming.

How to try your luck in La Primitiva

For those aiming to join the ranks of multimillionaire prize winners, the participation rules are simple. Draws are held several times a week—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—offering players plenty of chances. To play, you must select six unique numbers between 1 and 49. During the draw, an additional number (Complementario) is also drawn, as well as a Reintegro number from 0 to 9, which is automatically assigned to each ticket.

The La Primitiva prize structure features several tiers. The minimum prize is awarded for matching three numbers. The top prize, classified as the Special Category, goes to those who match all six main numbers plus the Reintegro number. For an extra €1, you can activate the El Joker option. This is a separate game in which your ticket is assigned a random seven-digit number. If this number matches the winning ‘Joker’ combination exactly, you’ll win a fixed prize of €1 million.
