In the very heart of Catalonia, near the town of Berga, an unconventional form of entertainment has emerged for those tired of standard indoor quests. Here, among forests and hills, organizers invite participants to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a true adventure, where every step is a challenge not only for the mind but also for physical fitness.
Escape Forest — as this project is called — turns an ordinary weekend into a real expedition. Instead of the familiar rooms with locks and codes, here you’ll have to conquer rope courses, solve intricate puzzles, navigate with a compass, and even interact with objects hidden in the forest. The experience lasts more than twenty hours, with participants not just solving tasks, but living in the wild, learning teamwork, and testing their limits.
Several scenarios are available for those looking to challenge themselves. One of the most popular — “Aventura Scout” — is designed for two days. Groups of up to forty people tackle obstacle courses, learn to cooperate, and have the chance not only to test their logic but to demonstrate endurance. The package includes hostel accommodation, meals, and even an outdoor barbecue, which becomes part of the gameplay. Participation is allowed independently from the age of twenty, while younger adventurers must be accompanied by an adult.
For thrill-seekers, there is a special mode — Survival Zombie SCOUT. Here, participants find themselves in the middle of a fictional zombie apocalypse that lasts all night. They are provided with themed uniforms, dinner, overnight accommodation, and breakfast, while the forest turns into an arena for a survival battle where every decision could be life-changing. These games are held on a schedule, for example, in early November, and require prior registration.
The participation fee for ‘Aventura Scout’ starts at 185 euros, with the zombie quest costing 200 euros per person. The price includes not only all game materials and equipment, but also meals throughout the event. Organizers promise that after such a weekend, you can forget about everyday worries, and the memories will stay with you for a long time.
Escape Forest is already being called one of the most unusual ways to spend a weekend in Catalonia. Here, excitement, teamwork, and complete immersion in nature come together, setting this project apart from typical urban quests.
You can get to the location by car via the C-16 highway; the trip takes about an hour and a half from Barcelona. There are also ALSA bus routes (L1 Ciutat and L2 Avià), which go to the center of Berga, and from there it is a walk to Pere II street.
