The ARI 458 Pro Camper redefines weekend travel with its ultra-compact size, modular interior, and fully electric drive. Designed for short getaways and city escapes, it offers flexibility and efficiency for those who value easy parking and low running costs.

Measuring just 3.82 meters in length and 1.49 meters in width, the ARI 458 Pro Camper is challenging the conventions of camper design. This microcamper, developed by German manufacturer ARI Motors, is built for travelers who want the freedom of a camper van without the hassle of maneuvering a bulky vehicle through narrow streets or crowded parking lots.

The ARI 458 Pro Camper is based on the company's small electric commercial vehicle, now reimagined for leisure. Available to order in Germany from May 1, 2026, the starting price is set at €25,530 before taxes. Optional extras and upgrades, such as a larger battery or additional comfort features, can significantly increase the final cost.

Designed for Short Journeys

With dimensions similar to a city car, the ARI 458 Pro Camper is ideal for urban environments and short regional trips. Its compact footprint allows access to places that are off-limits to traditional motorhomes, making it especially appealing for spontaneous weekend escapes or day trips.

The rear module offers around 2.8 square meters of usable space and an interior height of approximately 1.85 meters. While the limited area requires careful planning, it is sufficient to create a sleeping area, a small kitchen, and storage for luggage. The modular design means owners can configure the interior to suit their needs, whether they prefer a minimalist setup or a more fully equipped living space.

Electric Power and Range Options

Powered by a 15 kW (about 20 hp) electric motor, the ARI 458 Pro Camper reaches a top speed of 70 km/h. Classified as an L7e light electric vehicle, it is best suited for secondary roads and regional travel rather than long highway journeys. Two LiFePO4 battery options are available: a 15 kWh version offering 120–180 km of range, and a 23.5 kWh upgrade extending the range to 180–230 km per charge.

According to ARI Motors, energy costs are estimated at around €3.96 per 100 kilometers, based on an electricity price of €0.30 per kWh. Actual consumption will vary depending on load, temperature, and driving conditions.

Modular Interior, Flexible Living

The base model comes equipped with a 230-volt electrical system, a solar panel on the roof, an auxiliary battery, and tanks for fresh and grey water. Buyers can choose the layout of the bed, kitchen, table, and storage units, allowing for a highly personalized interior. For those who prefer a ready-to-use solution, ARI Motors also offers a factory-fitted basic camper configuration.

Pricing and Limitations

The advertised price of €25,530 applies to the German market and does not include VAT or optional extras. Upgrades such as the larger battery, air conditioning, power steering, and body modifications will increase the total cost. Pricing for other countries, including Spain, may differ due to taxes and local regulations.

The ARI 458 Pro Camper stands out as a niche offering in the camper market: small, electric, and highly configurable, but with clear limitations in speed and range. Its appeal lies in its practicality for short trips and its ability to park almost anywhere—a significant advantage for urban explorers and those seeking a low-impact travel solution.

As electric mobility continues to evolve, vehicles like the ARI 458 Pro Camper highlight a growing trend toward compact, sustainable travel options. For many, the trade-off between space and convenience may be worth it for the freedom to explore without the usual constraints of traditional campers.
