A free astronomy workshop will take place in Sarrià on 28 October. Children aged 9 to 12 will explore stars and galaxies, then make a galaxy to take home.
On Wednesday 28 October, children aged 9 to 12 will meet at Biblioteca Sarrià – J. V. Foix in Barcelona for an astronomy workshop. The free session runs from 17.30 to 19.30. Each participant will make a small galaxy to take home.
The programme is called #EstàsON: ¡Dentro del universo explorando estrellas y galaxias! It will take place at Plaça de Sarrià, 1, in the Sarrià neighbourhood of the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district. Families can treat it as a two-hour outing with both an introduction to space and practical work.
It is not a lecture-only session.
Xarxa Punt TIC describes the wider #EstàsOn programme as a series of around ten STEAM workshops running from September to December at Canòdrom. The sessions use games and experiments for children aged 6 to 12, including a workshop on stars and galaxies for the 9–12 age group.

Each child will create a galaxy in a jar. They can take it home afterward. The organisers describe the finished object as a small piece of the universe.
The European Commission Representation in Barcelona reported that Catalonia’s 2026 European Researchers’ Night brought together more than 200 activities during the week across different venues, including libraries and civic centres. The event places local workshops such as this one within a wider regional programme of public-facing science communication.
