Sandra Barneda and Pascalle Paerel married in Candeleda, Ávila, on 10 October 2026. Around 150 guests were expected at the civil ceremony, where their contrasting bridal looks drew immediate attention.

The civil ceremony took place in Candeleda, where Barneda owns a country house and has found distance from work and public life. The wedding date was 10 October 2026. Infobae reported that around 150 guests were expected.

Attention quickly turned to the dresses. Barneda chose Alvarno, the label created by her friends Arnaud Maillard and Álvaro Castejón. Her design drew on 1970s style and added a rock-inspired edge, moving away from conventional bridal silhouettes. Paerel wore Rosa Clará, one of Spain’s best-known bridal fashion firms.

Barneda proposed to Paerel on Valentine’s Day. The couple later chose 10 October 2026 partly for its symbolic combination of three tens and the number “111”, which they associated with new beginnings.

The dresses established a sharp visual divide. Barneda’s look was expressive and unconventional, while Paerel’s came from a major Spanish name in bridal fashion. Their choices gave the ceremony its clearest visual signature.

The contrast carries the images.

Barneda shared a video on Instagram showing the couple on their way to the altar. The footage reveals little of the ceremony itself, yet it puts the dresses and their appearance together at the centre of the announcement. Hola! reported that Barneda arrived with her parents, Miguel and Blanca. Telecinco described tears at the altar.

Candeleda was more than a picturesque location for the ceremony. Barneda has a country house there and has described the town as a place where she can step away from work and public life, giving the wedding setting a distinctly personal meaning.

Hola!

The relationship began through a dating application. Barneda and Paerel had been together for around four and a half years, and they first met in Paris. Barneda has said Paerel was the only person she spoke to through the app. Although Barneda is a familiar face on Spanish television, the couple has kept its private life largely out of view.

Barneda proposed on Valentine’s Day. The couple announced the wedding date only a few months before the ceremony, leaving limited time for preparations. In a joint interview with Hola!, Barneda called the organisation an “emotional tsunami” and said she had not expected the process to be so demanding.

The publication of the images opened a small window onto a day the couple had kept close to family and friends. An earlier report also identified Candeleda as the setting for the ceremony.

Reports pointed to Spanish and Dutch elements in the celebration, including food from both culinary traditions. Paerel’s colleagues from the Dutch National Ballet were also said to be possible guests. Details about her age and professional background vary. El Mundo described her as a 36-year-old Dutch dancer, while other reports have called her an entrepreneur or former dancer. Those descriptions remain attributed to their respective sources.

The ceremony included a civil setting in Candeleda and a brief public glimpse through Instagram. The two dresses carried the strongest visible contrast.
