A civil ceremony in Candeleda marked Sandra Barneda and Pascalle Paerel’s marriage after more than four years together. Their private Ávila setting framed two bridal looks designed to complement each other.

At roughly 13:00, Sandra Barneda arrived at her country property in Candeleda with her parents, Miguel and Blanca. The civil ceremony itself was reported at approximately 15:00, separating her arrival from the formal start of the marriage.

Barneda and Pascalle Paerel exchanged vows on Saturday 10 October 2026 in Candeleda, Ávila, after more than four years of a relationship kept largely away from public attention. Their first public image as newlyweds also showed the bridal styling they had kept private until the ceremony.

The two dresses followed different lines while working within the same visual idea. Barneda wore a creation by Alvarno, the firm founded by her friends Arnaud Maillard and Álvaro Castejón. Its disco and 1970s influence carried a rock-inspired chic aesthetic. Paerel chose Rosa Clará for her wedding dress. An earlier report had already identified Candeleda as the setting for the couple’s private celebration.

The wedding took place 74 days after Barneda and Paerel announced their engagement, turning 10 October into a carefully timed milestone in their relationship.

Paerel entered with her father, Pawl. Reports placed the civil registration at approximately 15:00, while Barneda’s parents accompanied her during the entrance and shared one of the most significant moments of her life.

Inside, the brides faced the guests with the seating rows mixed together. The layout kept the two sides of the family close instead of separating them. The choice of location was personal for Barneda, who owns a home in Candeleda and uses it as a retreat from television work. The celebration took place on her country property in the Sierra de Gredos area.

According to ¡HOLA!, Barneda said the dress fittings felt like a film and made her suddenly aware that the wedding was really happening. A relationship developed quietly was now being marked through a civil marriage in the Ávila municipality. The date carried its own meaning: the couple associated 10.10.2026 with the number 111 and the idea of a new beginning.

The mayor of Candeleda conducted the civil marriage. Before the ceremony, he said publicly that he was pleased to register the couple’s union and was looking forward to the occasion.

The celebration was expected to draw about 150 guests, including familiar public figures and some of Paerel’s former colleagues from the National Ballet of the Netherlands. The menu was planned around Spanish and Dutch cuisine. Paerel, formerly a dancer with the Dutch national company, has since built a life with Barneda away from the stage.

The relationship began more than four years earlier through a dating application. Barneda had been emotionally hurt and expected little from digital dating when close friends encouraged her to try again. Of the conversations that followed, one with Paerel stood apart. Barneda later said she communicated only with Paerel through the application.

Barneda then travelled to the Dominican Republic to film for approximately two and a half months. During that period, the two women exchanged one written message a day. The messages grew longer and more personal as the distance continued. El Correo and ¡HOLA! described the early relationship as one built through sustained written contact rather than constant physical proximity.

They chose Paris as neutral ground between Madrid and Amsterdam for their first face-to-face meeting. Several train delays pushed the encounter into the middle of the night, but it became the starting point of their shared life. Paerel is the mother of a young daughter. Barneda found in the Dutch businesswoman a combination of gentleness and determination. She also associated Paerel’s sensitivity with the love she had been seeking.

The mayor of Candeleda conducted the civil marriage, while the reported guest list was expected to reach about 150 people.
