Carmen Lomana suffered a sudden collapse while filming outdoors in Madrid. Emergency services responded on site. The incident forced her to pause her professional commitments. She is now recovering at home.

Emergency services were called to a Madrid street after Carmen Lomana fainted during an outdoor filming session. The intense sun and high temperatures left her unable to keep her usual commitments, including her weekly spot on Las Mañanas de Kiss FM.

According to colleagues, Lomana tried to keep working even after she started feeling unwell, not wanting to interrupt the shoot. She eventually lost consciousness for about 15 minutes. Paramedics from SAMUR responded quickly and took her to the Ruber clinic for further care. Reports from Vanitatis note that filming continued under direct sunlight, and Lomana did not take a break despite early signs of heat exhaustion.

In the days leading up to the incident, Madrid experienced extreme heat with temperatures reaching up to 40°C, and official warnings about high temperature risks were issued.

Doctors diagnosed her with severe heatstroke. Lomana later told Vanitatis that she had suffered a serious episode of sun exposure and thanked the medical teams for their quick response. She said she was feeling much better and wanted to get back to work, though doctors advised her to rest. SAMUR provided first aid at the scene before transferring her to the clinic for observation, as reported by several Spanish media outlets.

Her absence from Las Mañanas de Kiss FM was explained on air by presenters Xavi Martínez and María Lama, who described what happened and reassured listeners about her recovery. Lomana, known for her energy and distinctive style, reportedly sent a video message from the hospital, keeping her usual sense of humor. According to the program, she was already home and resting soon after the incident.

This episode shows the risks of working outdoors during Madrid's summer heat. Heatstroke is a real danger for anyone exposed to direct sun for long periods. Emergency services like SAMUR often respond to these cases, especially during the hottest months when temperatures can spike.

Despite being advised by doctors to rest, Carmen Lomana stated her intention to return to work the very next day, indicating that the incident did not result in a prolonged public absence from her schedule.

Lomana's quick return to work highlights both her dedication and the pressure public figures face to keep up appearances, even after a health scare. Her experience is a reminder to take medical advice seriously and to be cautious about overexertion in extreme weather. As heatwaves become more common in Spain, her case points to the need for better awareness and safety measures for those working outdoors.
