At its International User Summit in Wuhu, China, on 22 October 2026, Chery presented what it called the all-new-generation Tiggo 7, alongside the more rugged Tiggo X7. The Tiggo 7 is expected to succeed the model behind the EBRO S700. That matters in Spain: the S700 is one of EBRO’s basic models, but the company has not confirmed that this new Tiggo 7 will become its next version.
The exterior is an evolution rather than a complete break. It retains the basic silhouette and rising waistline, along with the line at the lower part of the C-pillar. The black grille has been revised, and the LED-light graphics are new. Chery also redesigned the wheels. The mirrors and bumpers have changed as well. The front looks squarer and more muscular than that of the current Tiggo 7. The displayed SUV also had a roof-mounted LiDAR unit and cameras on its front wings.
Chery’s global website lists the presented Tiggo 7 at 4,600 mm long, with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. That is 47 mm longer, and its wheelbase is 30 mm greater, than the current Tiggo 7, listed at 4,553 mm and 2,670 mm respectively. Those are Tiggo 7 measurements; they do not establish the dimensions of a future S700. The current Spanish-market S700 is 4.55 metres long.
The existing S700’s 224 CV hybrid could remain the range’s basic offering, alongside a plug-in hybrid with 90 km of electric range. Motor16 lists the current S700 HEV with a 1.5 TGDI DHE engine. The setup also includes two electric motors and a 1.83-kWh NCM battery, producing 165 kW (224 CV). Listed figures include 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and CO₂ emissions of 129 g/km. The estimated total range is about 900 km. Motor16 gives the Comfort version a starting price of €25,990.
The current S700 PHEV pairs a 1.5 TGDI petrol engine producing 143 CV with a 204-CV traction motor. It also has an 82-CV generator. Carwow España lists combined output at 279 CV (205 kW), with 365 Nm of torque. The model has front-wheel lead and an E-CVT transmission. Its 18.4-kWh usable LFP battery is associated with 90 km of WLTP electric range. DC charging reaches up to 40 kW; listed performance includes 0-100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h. These are specifications of the current plug-in S700, not the redesigned Tiggo 7. EBRO could also retain a turbo petrol entry version, although that has not been established. The wider Spanish electrification market is covered in this electric-car sector report; it does not confirm the S700’s future specification.
The Nissan Qashqai is a basic rival in the source’s comparison, with price identified as a strength for both models. No Spanish price has been announced for a redesigned S700, and the Tiggo 7’s presentation alone does not confirm its arrival in Spain.
