Beatriz told Gabriel she had written the letter to separate Begoña from him for good. The revelation came as Gabriel announced that the factory would no longer carry the De la Reina name. At a shareholders’ meeting, he proposed changing it to Brossard España. The episode’s advance was reported by El Confidencial and El Periódico; the latter said the proposal would provoke a reaction from shareholders.
For the family, the decision landed as a public humiliation.
Marta and Andrés told Damián about Gabriel’s decision. Pablo joined the siblings as they moved to oppose Gabriel and win back their customers’ trust, as Lecturas reported. Damián urged his children not to let Gabriel defeat them. They should build strength from inside the factory.
The name dispute is unfolding amid a wider struggle over the factory. Before chapter 670, Tasio told Hugo Brossard that Gabriel had caused the factory explosion. Hugo then decided against taking Marta and Andrés back, despite Damián’s efforts to change his mind. Hugo had also warned Andrés that production could move to Morocco if the family failed to repair its relationship with Gabriel.
Against that backdrop, Tasio secured what El Mundo described as a favourable agreement for La Industrial. He celebrated the deal with his father. Damián, however, was surprised by the news and worried about the financial effort it would require.
Other storylines continue at the factory and in the cantina. Bianca is leaving for Madrid, while Fina has decided to keep working alongside Marta. Tomás, Salva’s father, also turned up at the cantina after many years apart; Salva was left in shock. The preview for the preceding chapter had announced the unexpected reunion.
