According to information confirmed by police sources, one of the detainees is charged with non-penetrative sexual acts, while another is accused of striking the victim in the face when she tried to resist. The third man was seated in the front passenger seat. After the incident, the woman sought medical assistance and filed a report at a Mossos d’Esquadra station, which enabled authorities to quickly launch an investigation and begin searching for the suspects.
Two of the suspects were detained in Barcelona shortly after the incident. The third, believed to be involved in the physical assault, managed to leave the city but was found and arrested in Palma de Mallorca on Friday. One of the detainees remains in custody after the case was forwarded to court, the second has been released pending investigation on charges of resisting police, and the third has been transferred from Palma to Barcelona for further legal proceedings.
