Police have arrested a fourth suspect after an attack on Oviedo's housing camp. All four detainees face allegations linked to public disorder and ideological hatred.

The fourth suspect was detained in Avilés and taken to court with the three people arrested earlier. Police say the group may face charges linked to public disorder and hate-related offences. The case has now moved into the judicial phase.

The alleged attack happened overnight at Plaza de la Escandalera. Three men and one woman allegedly entered the camp to provoke and intimidate people gathered there over housing. One camp resident was injured.

According to EFE, the confrontation took place on the first night after the protest camp opened. Representatives of Sindicatu Vivienda d’Asturies also reported threats and insults before the clash.

The confrontation began during the first night of the housing camp’s operation, according to Sindicatu Vivienda d’Asturies. Movement representative Estela Rodríguez described the attackers as an organised group seeking to intimidate participants.

Police say the group was linked to the far right. Officers also reported Nazi-related gestures and shouted slogans. Those details form part of the hate-crime allegation, rather than pointing only to a disturbance at a public gathering.

El Confidencial reported that officers believe the group entered the camp to provoke and intimidate its occupants. One participant suffered an injury.

Recordings became central to the investigation. They helped officers identify the suspects and work out the role each person allegedly played. Police said the footage also showed Nazi salutes and slogans. That material helped officers identify the fourth suspect, who was later arrested in Avilés.

The first three arrests came on the same Saturday night at Oviedo's bus station. According to an account reported by Efe, the three were trying to board a bus to Madrid. They were heading to an event organised by far-right groups opposing the housing protesters occupying Puerta del Sol.

All four suspects appeared before the duty investigating court in Oviedo on 5 October. The arrest information and allegations were also sent to the Asturias prosecutor’s specialised section for hate crimes and discrimination, according to elDiario.es.

The Madrid link adds immediate context to the Oviedo case. The alleged assault began at a housing camp in Asturias. Four people now face the courts. A previous report described a separate confrontation involving far-right protesters near Madrid's Sol camp.

All four detainees were placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities on Monday morning, 5 October. The court will now examine their legal position. Police evidence remains focused on the recordings, the alleged ideological motive and the conduct attributed to each suspect.

The case was first described in terms of alleged attacks and damage. The investigation later expanded toward a possible hate crime after police established an ideological link and motive.

This was not treated as an ordinary protest dispute. The camp was allegedly targeted to provoke its occupants, one participant was injured, and police say Nazi gestures and slogans were used. The authorities view the ideological element as central to the case.
