A judge in Málaga has ordered the provisional imprisonment without bail of a 29-year-old man accused of stabbing a 23-year-old during the Feria de Málaga. According to the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Andalucía, the suspect, who manages a cocktail stand at the fair, exercised his right not to testify before the duty judge of the Instruction Section No. 1 of the Tribunal de Instancia de Málaga. The man is being investigated for attempted homicide after allegedly attacking the victim with a machete, causing severe injuries to the left side of the chest. The victim was urgently transported to hospital, where his condition was described as serious by the National Police.
Police sources indicate that the suspect was located later that morning inside a caravan near the fairground. The investigation suggests that the altercation may have been triggered when the victim, who was not employed at the fair, attempted to approach a woman believed to be the partner of the accused.
