Mitsubishi has activated Google Gemini in its European vehicles with Google built-in. Drivers can now interact with their cars using natural language, unlocking smarter navigation and personalized recommendations.

Step into a new Mitsubishi ASX, Grandis, or Eclipse Cross BEV in Europe. You’ll see Google Gemini ready on the dashboard. This AI assistant is built right into the car’s multimedia system. No more stiff commands. No more fighting with clunky menus. Drivers just talk as they would to a person. Want a scenic route? Need entertainment tips? Curious about a car feature? Just ask in plain language.

Gemini changes the way drivers use their cars. The system listens to normal speech. It doesn’t need set phrases. You can ask for directions based on your own preferences. You can look up new places using real-time reviews. The assistant even answers questions about the car itself. That’s a big step up from old infotainment systems. To use Gemini, you need a Mitsubishi with Google built-in. You also need to log in with your Google account. Mitsubishi Motors Spain confirms the Gemini update is free for cars with Google services already installed. But you must have an internet connection and a Google account to use it.

Gemini is not limited to Europe—Mitsubishi has also announced support for Arabic, Indonesian, Japanese, Thai, and Turkish language settings in other markets.

The rollout covers three models in Europe: ASX, Grandis, and Eclipse Cross BEV. Gemini works in many European languages. These include Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, and Swedish. Frank Krol, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Europe, says this integration is meant to make tech feel natural for drivers. Several independent sources confirm the first focus is on the ASX and Grandis. The Eclipse Cross BEV is also on the list of supported models.

Mitsubishi backs these cars with strong service. Every eligible vehicle gets a five-year or 100,000-kilometer factory warranty. Some can extend that to eight years or 160,000 kilometers. There’s a 12-year anti-corrosion guarantee. Electric models get an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer battery warranty. Roadside help lasts eight years. Each car also comes with a free health check. Some connected features may need extra setup. Mitsubishi notes that app compatibility can change over time.

Mitsubishi joins other automakers betting on AI to change driving. MINI and Fiat have shaped Europe’s car scene before, as reported earlier. Now Mitsubishi is pushing digital intelligence and smooth interaction.

Industry sources highlight that Mitsubishi is moving from rigid voice commands to a more natural, AI-driven conversational interface, making in-car communication feel closer to a real dialogue. This evolution is confirmed by independent publications such as iMagazine and Tabletowo, which also note that the update is free for European users but requires an active internet connection and a Google account.

With Google Gemini in its European lineup, Mitsubishi is sending a clear message. The future of driving is about more than engines or fuel. It’s about tech that fits the driver. For owners, that means less distraction and more useful info. The car feels less like a machine and more like a partner. AI assistants are becoming the norm. The brands that make them easy and helpful will lead the next wave of mobility.
