Range Rover has opened Spanish orders for its first fully electric model, rated at 550 CV with prices starting at €163,250. Its 800-volt system supports DC charging at up to 350 kW.

The Spanish launch range includes five versions: SE, HSE, Autobiography, SV and First Edition. The starting price is €163,250, putting the model squarely in the luxury SUV segment. As the first fully electric member of the Range Rover family, it retains the line’s premium feel and off-road focus.

Its usable 118.5 kWh battery carries a daily-use range estimate of 535 km, below the quoted maximum of 600 km on the WLTP cycle. The figures describe different things: WLTP is a standardised test result, while 535 km is Range Rover’s estimate for everyday use. The battery operates within an 800-volt electrical architecture; one technical comparison lists its gross capacity at 125 kWh.

Subaru has also opened reservations in Spain for the Solterra and Uncharted, another recent addition to the country’s electric-car market, as covered in its Spanish reservation report.

Two permanent-magnet electric motors provide the power. Range Rover lists a combined output of 550 CV and 850 Nm of torque. The claimed 0 to 100 km/h time is 4.5 seconds; the technical details also give 260 kW per motor. The 800-volt architecture supports DC fast charging at up to 350 kW. A 10 to 80% charge is quoted at 22 minutes, while a 10-minute stop can add 220 km of range. Actual charging figures depend on charger capacity and battery temperature; starting charge level also affects them.

Off-road capability remains part of the package. Integrated Traction Management (ITM) adjusts motor speed and wheel slip in 50 milliseconds, which the company describes as 100 times faster than a traditional combustion system. Paired with Single Pedal mode and dual-chamber air suspension, it is designed to handle slopes of up to 45 degrees and starts on inclines of 33 degrees. Maximum wading depth is 900 mm. The electric drive enables quiet travel and smooth power delivery. The traction system is designed to provide precise control on uneven terrain.

ThermAssist manages battery temperature across conditions from -40 °C to +90 °C. Range Rover says the system can also cut climate-control energy use by 40%. According to the supplied specifications, the model has accumulated more than 300 patent applications.

Production takes place at JLR’s Solihull plant in the United Kingdom, alongside combustion and hybrid versions. The Range Rover App comes as standard, with cabin preconditioning and scheduled charging.
