Renault has started taking orders for the Megane 2027 in Spain. The car comes with a 67 kWh LFP battery, up to 500 km WLTP range, and built-in Google services. Prices start at 37,685 euros, beating key competitors.

Renault has shaken up Spain’s electric car market. The Megane 2027 now starts at 37,685 euros for the techno trim. That’s less than the Tesla Model 3. Renault is taking aim at both old and new rivals. The official Renault España configurator lists the techno at 37,685 euros. The esprit Alpine trim starts at 40,685 euros. Renault is pushing hard on price in Spain.

This Megane keeps things simple. There’s just one battery and motor setup, and only two trims: techno and esprit Alpine. The 67 kWh LFP battery gives up to 500 km of WLTP range. That’s enough for long trips, not just city driving. Renault switched to LFP chemistry for better durability and lower costs. The car packs a 220 CV motor and 300 Nm of torque. It’s no slouch. Motor.es reports this single technical setup replaces the old, more complicated range. The goal is to make production and buying easier.

The updated Megane E-Tech Electric can charge from 15% to 80% in about 24 minutes, which is approximately 25% faster than the previous version.

Charging is faster now. Renault says the Megane can go from 15% to 80% in about 24 minutes. That’s 25% quicker than before. Every car gets an 11 kW bidirectional AC charger. There’s a 22 kW option too. A heat pump and automatic battery preconditioning come standard. Drivers can adjust regenerative braking with paddles. One Pedal mode is included. DonanimHaber notes these upgrades make the Megane more practical for daily use.

The front end looks new. The Megane drops its old grille for a closed black one, adds a new bumper, and gets a sharp eight-piece daytime running light design. The rear lights and interior have changed too. The car is still 4.20 meters long. The boot is now officially 440 liters, though Km77 reports 389 liters. For this size, that’s solid. The Spanish Renault site confirms the 440-liter boot as part of the update.

Inside, the Megane 2027 stands out. It has a 12-inch openR link system with full Google integration. Drivers get Google Maps, electric route planning, and over 100 apps. The system is fast and clear. Gemini, an AI assistant, handles natural language commands for navigation and car functions. Renault gives 2 GB of monthly data for three years. No need to use your own mobile plan.

Renault’s move to LFP battery chemistry is aimed at reducing entry costs and improving battery longevity, while maintaining a competitive WLTP range. The official Spanish Renault website already lists the new versions and prices, confirming the commercial launch for Spain.

The techno trim is well equipped. It comes with 19-inch wheels, adaptive LED headlights, a rear camera, dual-zone climate control, and a heated steering wheel. All versions now have a ventilated magnetic wireless charger that works with Qi2. The esprit Alpine trim adds 20-inch wheels, Harman Kardon audio, electric seats with memory and massage for the driver, Active Driver Assist, a 360-degree camera, and hands-free parking.

Renault is reacting to tough competition from Chinese brands. These rivals have been cutting prices and adding features fast. The Megane 2027’s price and European build show Renault wants to hold its ground. This is similar to the pressure seen when Xiaomi’s SkyNomad N70 launched in China with aggressive pricing, as reported by earlier coverage.

Renault also advertises lower prices for buyers who use financing or special deals—28,670 euros for techno and 31,370 euros for esprit Alpine. But these numbers depend on things like financing, promotions, and the Auto+ program. Buyers should check the details before comparing offers.

The Megane 2027 brings range, tech, and price together. It’s a strong option for Spanish drivers who want a European-built electric car. Renault focused on real-world range, fast charging, and easy-to-use digital features. The company has trimmed its lineup and invested in tech. Renault knows where the market is going. They don’t want to be left behind.
