NVIDIA RTX Spark laptops will support hundreds of PC games at launch, with Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Alan Wake II and Valorant among the demonstrated titles. The first systems are scheduled to ship on October 16, while Call of Duty is not expected until 2027.

Microsoft opened RTX Spark preorders on October 7, 2026, ahead of the first systems shipping on October 16. The Surface Laptop Ultra starts at $2,599, while the launch lineup also includes the Dell XPS 16, MSI Prestige N16 and HP OmniBook Ultra 16.

Call of Duty will miss that launch window. Microsoft says the series is expected to arrive on RTX Spark in 2027, although it has not named a specific game or release month. Hundreds of other PC games should work from day one, giving the platform a sizeable catalogue alongside its focus on demanding artificial intelligence workloads.

Microsoft showed the gaming side of RTX Spark during its event. Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Minecraft and World of Warcraft ran on compatible hardware. The company also presented Alan Wake II and Valorant, then said hundreds of AAA and independent games would be supported at launch.

Microsoft’s launch demonstration included Alan Wake II and Valorant in addition to Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Minecraft and World of Warcraft.

The strongest showcase featured Gears of War: E-Day at 60 FPS with the graphics set to Ultra. That points to solid performance in a recent demanding game, but the presentation left out details that would put the result in context. Microsoft did not disclose the resolution or confirm whether DLSS was active.

That matters because 60 FPS alone does not provide a full performance picture. The result shows that the game runs on the platform, but it cannot serve as a universal benchmark for every RTX Spark laptop without the resolution and rendering settings.

Engadget's independent preliminary test found Gears of War: E-Day running smoothly at a resolution slightly above 1080p on the Surface Laptop Ultra. The result held both on battery power and while plugged in. Engadget did not have the official graphics settings, power mode or upscaling technology used in Microsoft's demonstration.

RTX Spark uses an Arm-based architecture with an integrated GPU from NVIDIA's Blackwell generation. Those parts may help explain why NVIDIA still needs to work with the Call of Duty team, and possibly other developers, before some major games can deliver suitable performance. The available information also suggests that Spain may not be part of the initial launch.

NVIDIA is pitching the platform for more than games. Its plans also cover content creation and local AI development, with gaming performance in thin laptops and compact desktop systems. That broad target gives RTX Spark a stronger launch case than an AI-only machine, although compatibility is not universal.

Microsoft has confirmed only that the Call of Duty series is planned for RTX Spark in 2027. It has not specified the individual game, release month, supported devices or technical reasons for the delay. Industry coverage has linked the issue to adapting Windows on Arm, while support for the Ricochet anti-cheat system on Arm devices remains unconfirmed.

For now, RTX Spark arrives with hundreds of promised games and a 60 FPS Gears of War: E-Day demonstration. The undisclosed resolution, power mode and DLSS status keep that result from serving as a definitive benchmark. Call of Duty remains scheduled for 2027.
