A man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg during a confrontation in Salt (Girona) on Saturday evening. The incident began around 8 p.m. on Calle Moreneta, when three men entered an apartment where another group was present. Information from police sources, a dispute broke out inside the flat and quickly escalated, forcing the residents to flee into the street.
As the altercation spilled outside, one of the assailants fired at a man who was fleeing, striking him in the lower leg. The attackers then escaped by car. Emergency medical services took the injured man to Hospital Josep Trueta in Girona. Hospital staff confirmed that, despite initial concerns about the severity of his wound, he was treated and discharged that same night.
The Mossos d’Esquadra’s Unidad de Seguridad Ciudadana (USC) were first on the scene and immediately notified the División de Investigación Criminal (DIC) of Girona, which has since taken over the investigation. Officers are working to identify the perpetrators and establish what happened inside the apartment. The relationship between the two groups remains unclear, and police have not ruled out theft of valuables from the property as a possible motive.
