The incident unfolded around 8 p.m. on Calle Moreneta, when three men entered an apartment where another group was present. According to police sources, a dispute broke out inside the flat, escalating rapidly and forcing the residents to flee into the street.
As the altercation spilled outside, one of the assailants fired at a fleeing man, striking him in the lower leg. The attackers then escaped the scene in a car. Emergency medical services responded quickly, transporting the injured man to Hospital Josep Trueta in Girona. Despite initial concerns about the severity of his wound, he was treated and discharged the same night, as confirmed by hospital staff.
The Mossos d’Esquadra’s Unidad de Seguridad Ciudadana (USC) were first on the scene and immediately notified the División de Investigación Criminal (DIC) of Girona, which has since taken over the investigation.
