Officers of the Spanish National Police carried out an operation that led to the arrest of three men involved in the theft and resale of luxury cars. As a result of the law enforcement actions, nine premium-class vehicles were discovered hidden in a warehouse in the industrial area of one of Andalusia's cities.
The months-long investigation began after one of the victims spotted his stolen car in Huelva. This allowed police to track down an organized group specializing in stealing, modifying, and repairing vehicles and boats. After making structural modifications, the cars and boats were offered to criminal organizations engaged in the transport of illegal substances.
Some of the vehicles were stolen in Marbella, while the rest were taken in Huelva, Sevilla, Cádiz, and Córdoba. To conceal their tracks, the perpetrators used fake license plates. Additionally, all of the vehicles had their ignition systems altered, and the rear seats modified to increase cargo capacity.
During the search, officers also found a motorboat with a double bottom and several powerful outboard engines. According to police, the vessel was being prepared for transfer to groups specializing in drug smuggling.
All detainees have been brought before the duty court in Huelva. They are charged with committing theft with violence and document forgery. The investigation is ongoing, and the seized vehicles and boat have been placed in secure storage.
