Tesla has opened Roadster reservations in Spain, with deposits of €50,000 for Performance and €250,000 for Thrust. The final car price remains undisclosed, and the single-seat Rocket is available by invitation only.
Tesla’s Spanish configurator now takes Roadster reservations, with a €50,000 deposit for Performance and €250,000 for Thrust. These payments secure a place in line; they are not the announced purchase price. The reservation terms call for an initial €5,000 payment for either version, followed within ten days by €45,000 for Performance or €245,000 for Thrust.
For Performance, buyers pay an initial €5,000, then €45,000 within ten days. The second payment for Thrust is €245,000, also due within ten days of the initial €5,000. Tesla has not disclosed the final price of either version.
Tesla offers the Roadster in three tiers. Performance is a two-seat electric sports car with active aerodynamics and a multimode suction system, according to the company. Thrust also seats two, adds acceleration thrusters and is described as a limited-availability version focused on track use. Tesla says the Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than a second; published specifications put Thrust below 0.9 seconds. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent test results.
At the top of the range is the Rocket, a single-seater with the Thrust’s features and what Tesla calls a complete flight system. It will be available by invitation only. Tesla says cold-gas thrusters positioned around the car can lift it and rotate it, as well as accelerate it forward. The company has also described the thrusters working with electric actuators to make rapid position adjustments.
Tesla showed experimental prototypes using thrusters to lift off the ground and perform aerial manoeuvres. A robot rode aboard during the demonstration. The Associated Press reported on the brief aerial movements. The demonstration does not show what a production car could do, or how the technology would meet road-approval and safety requirements.
Tesla presented the updated Roadster in San Francisco on October 15, 2026, nearly nine years after first showing the second-generation car. The company says production is due to begin in 2028, after repeated project delays. Reuters reported that Tesla claims the new Roadster can reach 60 miles per hour in less than a second. The company has yet to provide motor output or battery capacity, and has not disclosed range or final prices for any version. The €50,000 and €250,000 figures on the Spanish configurator are reservation payments alone.
Tesla says production is due to begin in 2028 and expects the car to reach Europe. The company has not given a delivery date. Its reservation terms say delivery timing is not guaranteed and the vehicle may not be delivered. Recent Spanish product news from Tesla also includes a Model 3 update with a larger display and a range increase for the Performance version. The Roadster still has no confirmed final price.
