Xiaomi has launched its largest refrigerator yet in Spain: the Mijia Side-by-Side 621L, on sale for €799 until August 17. The brand’s highest-capacity fridge in the country offers 621 liters of storage, split between a 385-liter fridge and a 236-liter freezer. Listed as model MRS62ESSMPAEU, its capacity and energy-label figures also appear in the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL), the EU database for energy-labelled products.
The Mijia Side-by-Side 621L pairs its generous capacity with a range of features. Its 18 interior compartments include four open shelves and two independent drawers. Six deep door bins are designed to hold multiple rows of cans or bottles, and a rotating ice tray makes ice easier to remove.
The No Frost system uses multi-channel air ducts to distribute cold air evenly and prevent frost build-up. Four temperature sensors help maintain optimal conditions. Information from Xiaomi’s lab tests for the MRS62ESSMPAEU model, the freezer can freeze up to 14 kilograms in 24 hours. The 14 kg-per-day figure is listed as the freezer’s four-star freezing capacity.
For hygiene, Xiaomi has added Ag⁺ Fresh technology to both the fridge and freezer sections. Based on the manufacturer’s laboratory data, the system is designed to reduce odors and inhibit bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Regular cleaning and proper food storage remain impressive for safety.
Smart Control and Energy Use
The Mijia Side-by-Side 621L connects to the Xiaomi Home app, where users can monitor and adjust temperatures remotely. They can also select cooling modes and manage other settings. The fridge supports over-the-air updates and offers four cooling modes through a touch LED display. Voice control works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, provided the necessary devices and services are available in Spain.
The fridge has an energy efficiency rating of class E and estimated annual consumption of 342 kWh. Its noise level is 35 decibels, listed as noise class B in the cited European product-label data. The operating-temperature range is 10°C to 43°C, a relevant specification for kitchens and other spaces. Measuring 91 cm wide, 71.5 cm deep, and 177 cm tall, the Mijia Side-by-Side 621L weighs 84 kg and is significantly larger than standard combi fridges. Buyers should check kitchen dimensions and delivery routes: the appliance will not fit in a typical 60 cm-wide space. Packaging adds to its dimensions, so measure doorways, hallways, and elevators in advance. Xiaomi recommends leaving at least 10 cm of clearance on all sides for proper ventilation. The doors open up to 120 degrees, while the drawers remain accessible at 90 degrees. After installation, leave the fridge unplugged for at least three hours before use.
Who Is It For?
This model is pitched as an ideal solution for large families or households that shop in bulk and need extensive storage. Spanish coverage of Xiaomi’s Mijia home-appliance range also features the 502-liter Mijia Refrigerator Cross Door, while the Side-by-Side offers 119 liters more capacity. The promotional price of €799 is a €50 discount from the standard €849, or nearly 6% off. The offer ends on August 17.
The product has also appeared in retail coverage outside Spain. Heureka began tracking it in Slovakia in August 2026. A later XiaomiPlanet price report said it was available from two stores at almost €100 below its three-month average.
