Zeekr 9X lands in Spain as the priciest Chinese car ever sold here. Its lavish build and tech put it up against rivals that cost nearly double. Here’s what makes it stand out.

Spain’s luxury car scene just got a jolt. The Zeekr 9X, Geely’s top-tier SUV, has landed with a €121,500 price tag. That’s a bold move. This isn’t just another high-priced import. It’s a direct shot at the likes of Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Zeekr wants buyers to rethink what “expensive” really means.

Open the door and the difference is clear. The Zeekr 9X doesn’t feel like a typical luxury SUV. Every detail shows off careful work. Natural wood gets 20 hours of hand polishing. Crystal-cut accents and Nappa leather cover the cabin. Metal trim is real metal. Plastic is almost nowhere to be found. The result? The interior matches Bentley and Rolls-Royce for feel. It even beats the Mercedes-Maybach GLS on touch and finish.

The Zeekr 9X is the first Chinese car in Spain to feature a 900-volt plug-in hybrid system, combining two electric motors and a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol generator for a total of 897 hp and 935 Nm of torque.

But it’s not just about the materials. The Zeekr 9X packs in features you rarely see, even at this level. Rear seats spin 360 degrees. They recline to 145 degrees and adjust electrically. There’s ventilation, heating, massage, footrests, and armrests. Doors open and close on their own. A special control device runs every comfort setting. A 17-inch 3.5K screen drops from the ceiling, turning the car into a cinema on wheels. There’s even a fridge that can chill or heat food and drinks up to 50°C.

Sound comes from a Naim hi-fi system. This brand was once only found in Bentleys. The Zeekr 9X gets 32 speakers, active noise cancellation, and 3,300 watts of power. The dashboard holds two 16-inch OLED screens and an augmented reality head-up display. But with so many features, even these seem almost ordinary. The SUV seats six across three rows. The third row is actually usable. Fold it down and you get nearly 700 liters of cargo space.

According to Spanish automotive media, the Zeekr 9X is considered the most expensive Chinese car officially sold in Spain, with reported prices for the Ultra AWD version ranging from €119,450 to €126,256 depending on configuration. Experts note that these figures should be verified against the official Spanish price list before publication, as reported by several industry sources.

Underneath, the Zeekr 9X is all about power. It’s an extended-range electric SUV with all-wheel drive. Output is 897 horsepower and 935 Nm of torque. The SUV weighs 2,900 kg but still hits 0–100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The 55.1 kWh battery gives a WLTP-certified 179 km of pure electric range. A 2.0 turbo petrol engine works as a generator, pushing total range to 737 km. The car qualifies for the DGT’s CERO emissions label.

Zeekr backs the 9X with a 10-year or 200,000 km warranty. Spanish showrooms will see the SUV in early 2027. The model shown now is a pre-series version for China. Even so, the build quality leaves little doubt. Zeekr is ready to take on the big names.

For comparison, a Bentley Bentayga PHEV with 462 hp starts at €221,550. A Rolls-Royce Cullinan with similar specs can cost close to €500,000. The Zeekr 9X, at nearly half the price, brings luxury and tech that make its price look fair. This isn’t just another new model. It’s a reset for what buyers can expect for their money.

The Zeekr 9X’s arrival is part of a bigger trend. Chinese carmakers are now targeting Europe’s premium market. As reported earlier, Spain is turning into a key base for these brands. Investments in factories and R&D are speeding up the race.

The Zeekr 9X proves that luxury isn’t just about old badges or sky-high prices anymore. Now, it’s about brands willing to offer more for less, without cutting corners. For Spanish buyers who saw Chinese cars as cheap options, this is a wake-up call. Affordable superluxury is here. The old giants have real competition now.
