Jessica Bueno’s participation in the second season of the celebrity survival reality show can be considered more than successful. Unlike her first attempt in 2011, when she left the project just a step away from the final, this time the model made it to the grand finale. She competed for the main prize alongside stars like Miri Pérez-Cabrero, Rubén Torres, and Tony Spina. Her stay in Honduras was truly cathartic, prompting her to rethink many aspects of her life. Now back home, she plans to have serious conversations with the fathers of her children, Kiko Rivera and Jota Peleteiro.
The past few months have been challenging for Bueno: her breakup with Luitingo and another conflict with her ex-husband have taken their toll. That’s why joining the show became not just an opportunity to get to know herself better, but also a chance to declare her new outlook on life. Recently, during one of the emotional trials, she said she wants to learn to love herself, to feel free and independent. According to her, she no longer needs a man by her side—just her children—and she is confident she can handle everything on her own. This marks the end of an era of emotional dependence.
This new, stronger Jessica has spent a lot of time thinking about the future that awaits her when she returns to Seville and her three sons: Fran, Jota Jr., and Alejandro. As the show neared its finale, she shared her thoughts with fellow contestants Gloria Camila Ortega and Adara Molinero. With a touch of irony, the model remarked that she’ll only truly be able to enjoy her ‘second youth’ when her children—currently aged twelve, nine, and four—are grown up. She even joked that she won’t meet the man of her dreams until she’s forty.
Her friends on the show fully supported her outlook. Gloria pointed out that many women devote themselves to their children, and after forty, once the kids are independent, they start living for themselves. During their conversation, all three agreed: for Jessica to finally start traveling and building a personal life, she needs real help from Kiko, Fran’s father, and Jota, father of her two younger boys. Bueno admitted that she only has time for herself when the children are with their fathers—which doesn’t happen very often. Her eldest spends weekends with his dad in turns, while the younger two see theirs ‘when possible.’ Jessica is determined to change this arrangement. Gloria advised her to immediately reorganize her life upon returning to Spain, and the model wholeheartedly agreed, confirming that the time for decisive action has come.
