For almost two months now, Jessica Bueno has been far from home and her loved ones. The Seville-born model took a bold step at the start of autumn by joining the second season of the celebrity edition of the reality show “Supervivientes All Stars.” For her, this marked a return to the show fourteen years after her first attempt. Even before leaving for Honduras, she did not hide how difficult it would be to part from her three sons — Fran, Jota, and Alejandro — born from her relationships with Kiko Rivera and Jota Peleteiro. Finally, on air, she clarified who is taking care of the boys during her absence.
For the Andalusian contestant, these last days on the show — now nearing its finale — have been particularly intense and eventful. She has experienced a wide range of emotions. On one hand, she had to say goodbye to Gloria Camila Ortega, with whom she had grown close on the Cayos Cochinos islands. Gloria became the last contestant to leave, following the results of Sunday’s public vote. On the other hand, after a grueling challenge, Jessica earned the title of group leader for the first time, granting her coveted immunity from elimination nominations.
Elated after her long-awaited victory and receiving the leader’s necklace, Bueno couldn’t hold back her emotions in front of the cameras. The former ‘Gran Hermano VIP’ participant, with tears in her eyes, thanked everyone who supported her. She mentioned her children, now twelve, nine, and four years old, and admitted she constantly thinks about them, often rereading the touching letter they wrote to her before she left. In her speech, she made it clear who is taking care of the boys while she competes on the show. It’s not her former partners, but her parents—the children’s maternal grandparents. “And to my parents… if it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be able to live this experience here with such peace of mind, knowing that my three treasures are happy and well taken care of,” the model affirmed.
The question of who would look after the children while their mother participated in the project remained open all summer, ever since the announcement of her return to television. At that time, during a broadcast of ‘¡De viernes!’, the Andalusian shared her plans. Initially, she expected her sons would stay with her parents, Francisco Bueno and Loli Alvarez. She did not rule out the possibility that her ex-husband, Jota Peleteiro—who lives permanently in Bilbao with his second wife and young son—might temporarily move to Seville during this period.
Jota Peleteiro’s reaction to the news of Jessica’s participation in the show was mixed. He was surprised to learn about it from television and expressed regret that he had not been informed in advance to allow for better planning. According to some sources, the former footballer had intended to exercise his right to spend this time with the children, rather than have them stay with their grandparents. In fact, in October he was seen spending time with all three boys, including Fran, whom he has always considered his own son.
