One of the most anticipated events of the year took place once again in Oviedo. The Campoamor Theater opened its doors for the 45th Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony. This annual event brings together prominent figures from the fields of science, art, and sports. As always, the spotlight was on the members of the royal family, whose public appearances generate special interest in the media.
This year, all eyes were on the king’s younger daughter, Infanta Sofía. She made a bold choice in favor of Spanish fashion, appearing in a long crimson dress. The gown by Miphai, called “Ámbar,” created quite a stir. Made from crepe with a lining, the dress featured an asymmetrical flared skirt and a striking side slit. A semi-transparent cape of lightweight gauze added to the look’s charm, playing with the light and giving energy to her movements.
Miphai’s designers considered every detail. The cape, matching the dress, had an asymmetrical sleeve and elegantly covered the square neckline with wide straps. This daring yet successful choice highlighted the infanta’s growing fashion sense. No less attention was paid to the footwear. Infanta Sofía complemented her look with Barbara ballet flats from the well-known Spanish brand Magrit. These nude leather flat shoes, featuring a metallic instep strap and a small one-centimeter square heel, have already made appearances in her wardrobe. She previously wore them at the final of the 2025 Women’s European Football Championship, demonstrating her commitment to comfort and conscious consumption.
Throughout the event, the Infanta showcased several outfits. In the morning, during the audience at the Hotel Reconquista, she appeared in a bright red suit by Sofia Richie for Tommy Hilfiger, standing out against the more restrained attire of her mother and sister, who opted for grey and navy tones. The night before, at a concert, Sofía was seen in a halter-neck dress with an open back by Hugo Boss, further reflecting her willingness to experiment with fashion.
