Recently, Jennifer Lopez has continued to surprise the public. Not long ago, she appeared in public with her grown-up children, and was also spotted with Ben Affleck’s ex-wife, sparking a wave of discussion. But the main transformation concerns her appearance. The star, known for her bold and revealing outfits, seems to have decided on a dramatic change, leaving behind her usual allure in favor of something entirely different.
A new chapter in her style story is unfolding right now on the set in the heart of Manhattan. The artist is working on the role of Daphne Parrish in the upcoming film “The Last Mrs. Parrish” by Netflix, directed by Robert Zemeckis. For this project, based on Liv Constantine’s novel of the same name, she has taken on a look in which she is almost unrecognizable. This is an aesthetic of chic and refinement, inspired by the elegance of the 1940s and 1950s, but reimagined in a modern way.
The centerpiece of her transformation is a dazzling red Dior suit. The impeccable ensemble, featuring a fitted jacket and midi skirt, is crafted from wool and silk. The jacket’s cinched waist and high collar are reminiscent of the iconic New Look silhouette and the legendary Bar jacket, a symbol of the French fashion house. This choice reflects not just trend-following but a deep understanding of fashion history.
The accessories were chosen with equal care. In the star’s hands, one could spot a small rectangular Amiri bag made of calfskin embossed to resemble crocodile leather. However, it was her shoes that truly drew attention. She opted for an original Mary Jane model by Spanish maestro Manolo Blahnik. The shoes, covered in wool fabric with a classic houndstooth pattern and polka dot mesh inserts, served as a striking accent. The design of these shoes was inspired by Lady Heathcote-Amory, one of the finest British golfers of the interwar period, adding even more aristocratic flair and uniqueness to the outfit.
