A technological breakthrough in display technology
ASUS ROG has officially launched the new Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W monitor, which has already claimed the title of the fastest OLED display on the market. The device is designed for gaming enthusiasts and professionals who value not just response speed, but also color accuracy.
At the heart of this model is LG Display’s fourth-generation tandem OLED panel. This technology significantly boosts peak brightness—15% higher than previous models—and expands color coverage by 25%. The panel’s lifespan has also increased by 60%, which is especially important for users who spend long hours at the screen.
Record-breaking refresh rates
The monitor supports two modes: when the resolution is lowered to 720p, the refresh rate reaches 720 Hz, making it the leader among OLED devices in this regard. In standard mode, with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD), the refresh rate is 540 Hz—which is more than enough for most gaming and professional tasks.
The screen measures 26.5 inches diagonally, with a maximum brightness of up to 1500 nits in HDR mode. The model supports the HDR True Black 500 standard, covers 99.5% of the DCI-P3 color space, and displays 10-bit color. The response time is just 0.03 milliseconds, allowing for minimal lag and image blur even in the most fast-paced scenes.
Design and functionality
The monitor sports the signature ASUS ROG design: a silver body, a semi-transparent back panel, and an ergonomic stand with adjustable height, tilt, and swivel. Among the available ports, the DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 stands out, offering 80 Gbps bandwidth, alongside HDMI 2.1 and a USB hub for connecting peripherals. The recommended price for this model is $1,099.
An affordable alternative with the same technologies
At the same time, ASUS ROG unveiled another model — Strix OLED XG27AQWMG. It features a similar tandem OLED panel from LG Display but comes at a more accessible price point and slightly less advanced specs. The screen size and resolution match the flagship version, with 10-bit color, 99.5% DCI-P3 coverage, and low Delta E value, making the monitor suitable not just for gaming, but also for graphic work. This model is priced at $599.
Both new products are already available for order worldwide and, according to experts, are set to redefine standards in the gaming and professional monitor segments. The arrival of such devices is expected to accelerate OLED technology development and boost competition among display manufacturers.
