In the heart of Barcelona, on Tuset Street, the lights are shining once again at one of the city’s most famous nightclubs — Sutton. After an extensive renovation that took just 54 days, the club has reopened its doors, impressing not only with the speed of the transformation but also with the level of technological innovation. This time, the club focused on digital design and 3D printing, allowing it to completely revamp the space while preserving its signature style.
The renovation began with meticulous preparation: even before the club closed, specialists conducted a digital scan of all the premises to create an accurate model of the future interior. This made it possible to pre-fabricate unique finishing elements and furniture, as well as to plan the installation so that various stages could proceed simultaneously. This approach minimized the timeframe and prevented any downtime.
Technology and Design
The most cutting-edge methods were used during the renovation: curved interior elements were 3D printed, and a total of 228 custom concrete modules were made for the club. Meanwhile, other elements — from furniture to lighting structures — were prepared in different workshops. Inside the club, three kilometers of LED strips have been installed, and all engineering systems have been completely upgraded.
The new look of Sutton was designed by Daniel Poch, who created an atmosphere blending exclusivity and technology. Special attention was paid to acoustics and lighting: the club now boasts not only a stylish interior, but also facilities for large-scale music shows. The DJ booth was relocated, and the furniture and bar counters were custom-made to order.
Record-breaking timeline
The renovation began in August, when the club temporarily closed its doors to patrons. By the end of September, Sutton was welcoming guests again—within just 54 days, the old fixtures were completely dismantled, finishing works were carried out, and the new interior was assembled. This achievement was made possible through digital modeling and precise coordination among all contractors.
The club’s owners, the Cano family, invested over two million euros in the renovation. The project was commissioned by ConstruNext, a company specializing in innovative construction solutions. The process utilized Lean, Agile, and Design Thinking methodologies, which helped minimize budget overruns and meet tight deadlines.
A place in the world ranking
After reopening, Sutton reaffirmed its status as one of the world’s leading nightclubs. In 2025, it ranked 12th in the prestigious international ranking The World’s 100 Best Clubs. Over the years, stars like David Guetta and Bruno Mars have performed on its stage, and the venue itself has become a symbol of Barcelona’s nightlife.
The renovated club has retained its exclusive atmosphere, but now caters to a new generation of guests. The space is more flexible, and its technical facilities make it possible to host events of any scale. The owner plans to continue developing the club in order to maintain its leadership on the European scene.
Barcelona and Nightlife
The story of Sutton has become an example for other venues in the city: digital design and 3D printing are now increasingly used in the renovation of popular locations. Barcelona is strengthening its position as one of Europe’s nightlife hubs, with technological innovations becoming an integral part of the entertainment industry.
The record-breaking speed of the renovation and the high quality of execution not only helped Sutton return to the market, but also set new standards for the club industry. Guests note that the atmosphere remains the same, while the quality of service and shows has reached a new level. The club is once again filling its halls and reaffirming its legendary status in Barcelona’s nightlife.
