The city authorities of Benidorm have given the green light to the construction of a new residential skyscraper, TM Tower, which will become the tallest building in Spain. The project includes the development of a 64-story tower, 230 meters high, designed for 260 apartments. The building will rise in the heart of the city, just 50 meters from Poniente beach.
The project was initiated by TM Grupo Inmobiliario, a company based in Torrevieja. The new skyscraper will surpass the current leader—the Intempo tower, which has 47 floors and reaches 202 meters. On a European scale, TM Tower will be second only to the Moscow complex Neva Towers.
The construction site is a spacious area of 13,225 square meters on avenida de México, in close proximity to Intempo. The tower will feature apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms, as well as four underground levels. Residents will have access to swimming pools, a modern fitness center, sports courts, and even a private cinema.
Special attention was paid to leisure infrastructure: at the top of the building there will be a bar with an astronomical observatory, created in collaboration with the MUDIC (Museo Didáctico e Interactivo de Ciencias Jesús Carnicer) Science Museum. Construction is scheduled to be completed within two years, and the project’s budget is estimated at approximately 27.5 million euros.
According to the developer, there is strong interest in the new property from both Spanish and international buyers. Preliminary applications for apartments are already being accepted. It is expected that residents will move in during the second half of 2028, when future homeowners receive the keys to their apartments.
TM Tower will be constructed using high-strength reinforced concrete, ensuring stability even during strong winds. The structure was tested in a wind tunnel at the Polytechnic University of Madrid to guarantee comfort and safety for residents.
For residents’ convenience, the building will feature seven high-speed elevators capable of reaching speeds up to 6 meters per second—significantly above standard rates for residential buildings. The official project presentation is scheduled for September 18, with clients, partners, agencies, and government representatives invited to the event.
The company TM Grupo Inmobiliario emphasizes that TM Tower will not only become an architectural landmark in Benidorm but also set a new standard of quality and exclusivity in the real estate market. The project aims to strengthen the city’s status as one of the leading centers for tourism and residential development on the Costa Blanca.
