In the small town of Algete, near Madrid, tensions are rising over a planned fight night. The event is organized by a radical group known for its far-right views. Although the local authorities have not granted official permission to use the municipal arena, tickets are already available for purchase through a dedicated website. Entry costs 25 euros.
The group behind this event emerged after mass protests in the capital in 2023. Its ranks include representatives of various far-right movements, including Falangists and neo-Nazis. Currently, the organization is under close scrutiny by law enforcement, who suspect it of inciting interethnic hatred.
Although the arena was not officially provided for the fights, members of the group have already entered the venue to film a promotional video. In the footage, they showcase boxing and Muay Thai techniques, all participants wearing black sneakers popular among radical youth. The event is sponsored by a company that produces clothing featuring the group’s symbols and Nazi insignia.
Local politicians have voiced concern. The opposition strongly condemned the potential leasing of a municipal facility for such purposes, recalling the organizers’ links to extremist groups banned in other countries. Official records list the group as a socio-political association, but since spring, an investigation has been underway into the distribution of videos containing calls for violence against migrants.
Recently, the organization has been involved in a number of incidents: from attacking teenagers from a shelter to participating in riots in neighboring towns. The mayor of Algete declined to discuss the situation by phone, providing only a written comment stating that all decisions regarding the use of public spaces are made by the police.
