
On Sunday evening, a fire broke out in an apartment building in Vigo, resulting in the hospitalization of two people. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Andalucía Street, when passersby noticed thick smoke rising from the building’s roof. The alarm spread quickly among residents, and soon firefighters, police officers, and medical teams arrived at the scene.
Flames engulfed one of the apartments, completely destroying its interior. Smoke rapidly spread through the corridors and into the courtyard, causing panic among residents. Some tried to leave the building on their own, while others waited for rescuers. Firefighters acted promptly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring apartments.
As a result of the incident, two residents suffered burns of varying severity. Medical teams provided first aid on site before taking the victims to the hospital for further treatment. Other residents were not injured, but had to temporarily leave their apartments due to heavy smoke.
After the fire was extinguished, specialists inspected the building to ensure its safety. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but it is known that the blaze started inside one of the apartments.
