
On Wednesday evening, a major accident occurred on the A-3 highway in Cuenca province, near the municipality of Tébar. As a result of a collision involving five vehicles, all traffic towards Madrid was completely blocked. Emergency services, including firefighters, medics, and members of the Guardia Civil, are working at the scene.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. at kilometer 186 of the highway, as traffic was heading towards the capital. According to initial reports, one of the people involved was trapped inside their vehicle. Rescuers are working urgently to free the injured person and provide necessary medical assistance.
It is still unclear how many people were injured in the incident. Two ambulances, a mobile intensive care unit, and an on-call doctor arrived on site. Firefighters from Motilla del Palancar are clearing the aftermath of the crash and securing the area.
Traffic on the main A-3 highway towards Madrid has been temporarily suspended. Drivers are being directed to take a service road detour to avoid congestion and reduce risk at the scene. Road maintenance crews and police are managing vehicle flow and maintaining order.
