Starting your journey
This circular route, a little over 7 kilometers long, can be completed in less than four hours. With its low difficulty level, it’s an ideal choice for a family outing. You can start the walk from several points, but one of the most convenient is the marina at San Vicente do Mar in the region of O Salnés. From here, you’ll head toward Buraca da Alondra beach, following comfortable wooden walkways built right along the shore.
Continuing this exhilarating walk along the water’s edge, you’ll soon reach Piedras Negras Beach. The trail, marked by a wooden walkway, will lead you to a monument dedicated to the volunteers who helped clean up after the Prestige oil tanker disaster. The monument stands on a promontory jutting into the sea, but before reaching it, you can enjoy the views of Farruco Beach, known for its half-shell shape and fine golden sand.
