Felipe Juan Froilán de Marichalar y Borbón, nephew of the King of Spain, spent last weekend in Asturias, where he attended a major electronic music festival incognito. He tried not to draw attention to himself among the tens of thousands of guests, seeking anonymity after a recent holiday in the Balearic Islands, which was accompanied by increased media interest.
The event in question was Aquasella 2025, which this year celebrated its 28th anniversary and set a new attendance record, bringing together over 80,000 electronic music fans. The festival took place from August 14 to 17 in a picturesque valley between Arriondas and Cangas de Onís. Froilán managed to remain unnoticed, and unlike other similar cases involving members of royal families, no photos of him from the festival appeared on social media.
For accommodation, the monarch’s nephew chose a hotel in the small village of Prestín, in the municipality of Parres. This area is located near the Picos de Europa national park, which is currently suffering from forest fires. In addition to music, Froilán also sampled the local cuisine. Together with friends, he had lunch at a restaurant in the tourist town of Cangas de Onís, known for its meat dishes and famous cheeses such as Cabrales, Beyos, and Gamonéu.
The trip to Asturias served as a kind of respite for Frolan after his widely publicized holiday in Ibiza, which was marked by several incidents. Earlier, reports surfaced about a conflict with a woman at one of the island’s nightclubs. She accused him of being arrogant and domineering. Additionally, in Ibiza, he had an awkward encounter with his ex-girlfriend, Belén Perea, who was accompanied by her new partner.
During his stay in the Balearic Islands, Frolan was also seen with a new companion. She turned out to be Miri Pérez-Cabrero, a well-known media personality, content creator, and participant in television shows such as MasterChef and Supervivientes. The pair were photographed having lunch at a restaurant in Ses Salinas. Witnesses say they displayed a close relationship, though there have been no official statements about the nature of their connection.
